AMHERST, Mass. - Minuteman head coach Joe Harasymiak met with reporters following Monday’s preseason practice and offered an update on where the Minutemen stand as they work through the heart of training camp.
Harasymiak discussed the progress of a defense he believes has improved significantly, the ongoing competitions along the offensive and defensive lines and the battle to become Pop Watson’s backup at quarterback. He also touched on improvements in the running game, the development of several freshmen and the importance of putting a largely new roster through unscripted, game-like situations as UMass moves closer to the season.
