UMass Week Six Injury Update
Are the Minutemen finally beginning to get healthy?

The 0-4 Minutemen just need the dice rolling their way.
Fortunately, during head coach Joe Harasymiak’s Monday press conference, he announced UMass could be getting some players back in time for its matchup against Western Michigan this Saturday.
Safeties Zeraun Daniel and Jeremiah McGill, and defensive backs Ryan Barnes and Keith Sarkodieh, could make their return this week, per Harasymiak.
“Yeah, our injury status has been much better this week,” said Harasymiak. “We’ll see how the week goes.”
This could add some much-needed juice to a team that’s been hampered with injuries, most notably losing wide receiver T.Y. Harding for the season.
Harasymiak said quarterback Brandon Rose is making progress and could return this week, however, he has no intention to rush him back.
“He’s recovering,” said Harasymiak. “He is probably in the same group as those other four guys I mentioned. We probably could have risked it and taken a risk there last week, but I’m not going to put a guy in that can’t protect himself, whoever that is. So we just got to see how it goes, but he’s close.”
Harasymiak made it clear availability is the best ability.
“Ultimately, it’s whoever prepares the best and goes out and gives us the best opportunity to win,” he said.
The Minutemen look to get healthier while picking up their first win of the season.
