After last night's beatdown, I think it's pretty obvious what the first problem that Thor needs to fix. The number of injuries that this team has had this year is totally ridiculous. We played NIU's starters with 3rd, 4th and 5th string players that had no business being on the field at this point in their collegiate career. The strength and conditioning department of the football team needs to be vastly upgraded to help keep the players on the field and prevent some of these injuries. I know that injuries happen over the course of the season but the number of season ending injuries that this team has had to try to overcome is laughable.
Terrific interview with Thorr. I hope he's correct when he says the foundation for success is there. JMU, UConn, Delaware are all making the FBS transition. Why can't we?
And, Rene, hold on to that box of ticket stubs! Too many college athletes get rid of souvenirs after they graduate - Set aside childish things? Turn over a new leaf? Whatever - and come to regret it years later. Memories matter. Trust us old folks on that!
