The Minutemen will host several 2026 prospects for official visits this weekend.
This weekend, 13 high schoolers will take their official visits to UMass.
QUARTERBACK
QB Tyler Bell
Bell reported his offer on social media back on May 11th. The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder from St. Peter’s Prep in New Jersey threw for 1,160 yards in his sophomore campaign with eight touchdowns. He improved in his junior year with an 1,936 yard season, also increasing to 27 touchdowns. The junior threw for over 300 yards twice last season against Pope John and Moore Catholic (NY). He has reported other offers from Princeton, Buffalo, Georgetown, Albany, Lehigh and Wofford among others.
WIDE RECEIVERS/TIGHT END
WR David Moore Jr.
UMass football offered Moore back in February. He attended the spring game, and now plans to attend the school in the form of an official visit this weekend. He is a 5-foot-11, 180-pounder who has received multiple offers from Duke, Pitt, West Virginia and many more. The three-star held official visits with multiple power-four schools, and UMass is fighting for Moore’s signature. He attends West Orange High School in New Jersey.
WR Kai Owens
Owens is another wide receiver on UMass’ radar. He attends Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, Ill., and is receiving offers from many different programs. Those include MAC teams like Eastern Michigan, Miami (Ohio), Ball State and Toledo, along with the Minutemen. The 6-foot-2, 160-pounder prepares for an official visit in Amherst this weekend.
TE Matthew Tybor
Tybor is the one tight end heading to Western Massachusetts for an official visit this weekend. The 6-foot-4, 240-pounder, and Groton, Mass. native attends Lawrence Academy in Mass., and is the captain of the football team. Along with the Minutemen, he has received offers from Army, Liberty, Monmouth and more.
O-LINE/D-LINE
OT Lawrence Iyalekhue
Iyalekhue is one of two offensive linemen visiting Amherst this weekend. He plays high school football for Gorton High School (Yonkers Force) in Yonkers, NY. The Roosevelt, NY native has received multiple offers from Power-4, Group of 6 and FCS schools. Those include Boston College, Bryant, Monmouth, Wake Forest, Rhode Island and Temple, along with UMass. At 6-foot-9, 325-pounds, he is a good-sized offensive tackle who received his offer from the Minutemen back in early May.
IOL Cristian Alvarez
Alvarez, the only interior offensive linemen attending UMass’ official visit this weekend, received his offer on May 14, following a conversation he had with offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian. The 6-foot-4, 285-pounder boasts a 4.0 GPA at St. Joseph Regional in Montvale NJ. He has reported offers from Yale, Richmond, Towson, Air Force, Navy, Army and more.
DL Robert Ekins
Ekins attends Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, NJ, the same high school that UMass linebacker Timmy Hinspeter attended. He stands at 6-foot-2, 267-pounds and committed to the Harasymiak project back in January. In high school, Ekins is a multi-sport athlete competing in football and wrestling, as well as boasting a successful 4.0 GPA.
DT Cooper Long
Long stands at 6-foot-5, 270-pounds, and attends the Salisbury School in Connecticut. Along with the Minutemen, Long has received offers from Maine, New Hampshire, Richmond, Rhode Island and other northeast regional programs. He’s done most of his work as a right-sided defensive end.
DT Samuel Mulbah
The Trinity, Pa. native received his offer from the Minutemen on January 22, and has received another MAC offer from Buffalo. The 6-foot-3, 260-pounder attends Trinity High School and has now collected nine Division I offers. Mulbah proved his versatility in high school with his ability to perform inside and outside on the defensive line at a high level.
DT Yendor Mack
Mack stands at 6-foot-3, 295-pounds, and attends Susquehanna Township High School in Harrisburg, Pa.. He received three-time first team all conference honors on offense and defense, and has 14 Division I offers from schools on all levels of the college football spectrum. Fellow MAC schools Buffalo and Akron have shown interest, along with the Minutemen.
DEFENSIVE BACKS
CB Corey “Deuce” Warner
Warner, a Louisville, Ky. native, attends Dupont Manual High School, and is one of the recent offers that the Minutemen have handed out. His conversation with UMass defensive coordinator Jared Keyte earned him an offer on June 3, 11 days before the official visit weekend. The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder is a three-star recruit with a 73-inch wingspan. He has received seven offers in total that include MAC teams Toledo and Bowling Green.
CB Kieran Edwards
The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder hails from Greenwich, Conn., and attends the Brunswick School. He has received offers from multiple Ivy League schools, as well as power four programs Syracuse, Rutgers and Boston College, along with the Minutemen. He received his offer from UMass back in early February and could be a great potential addition for defensive backs coach Donald Celiscar.
ATHLETE
ATH Ibn Muhammad
Muhammad attends Camden High School and is a native of Camden, NJ. The 6-foot, 190-pounder has received offers from Syracuse, Maine and more. He provided versatility, playing high level safety, but also giving his team a threat on offense as a wide receiver. The high school junior plans to visit Amherst this weekend for an official visit.
