BREAKING | 2026 QB Tyler Bell Commits To UMass
The Minuteman have landed St. Peter's Prep (NJ) QB Tyler Bell.
UMass’ first true official visit weekend under head coach Joe Harasymiak appears to be an extremely successful one by any measure.
The Minutemen hosted a dozen prospects in the 2026 recruiting class in Amherst for official visits and we’re told multiple players offered their verbal commitments to Harasymiak and the staff while on campus.
We anticipate these prospects will go public with their commitments soon and we’ll let you know as they do.
New Jersey quarterback Tyler Bell has announced his commitment to UMass.
Minuteman Command spoke with the 6-foot, 185-pounder twice prior to his visit to Amherst and the St. Peter’s Prep star made it clear UMass was extremely high on his list.
“The energy was great, the coaches were great,” he told us prior to his visit. “The team had that energy going and it just seemed like a fun place to be and a great team to be a part of.”
This is a huge score for Harasymiak, offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian and assistant quarterbacks coach Drew Belcher.
As a junior, Bell threw for 1,965 yards and 27 touchdowns while adding six more touchdowns and 400 yards on the ground.
Not only does UMass now have a quarterback who can help be a leader for the 2026 class, it has a future signal-caller from a prestigious program that regularly produces high level college players, including quarterbacks.
Stay tuned to Minuteman Command for more on Bell’s commitment and the rest of the huge official visit weekend.
